Everyone wants to have beautiful skin. I know the dispare of feeling shameful or self conscious because of acne scarring or uneven skin tone. When I consult with many of my clients about skin issues, I often find many of the issues can be resolved by maintaining a skin regimen that is tailored to your skin type by a professional. Try these tips to get great results.
- Cleanse skin morning and night with a cleanser that addresses your skin type. Never use alcohol to cleanse the skin even if you have oily skin.
- If you use makeup or have oily skin, a toner with a little salicylic acid will help rid your skin of any stubborn makeup and help clear your pores.
- Exfoliate twice a week. This is the key to creating polished glowing skin.
- Use a mask once a week to help draw out impurites. Be sure you are using a hydrating mask if your skin is dry and a clay mask if skin is oily.
- Skin behaves differently at night. Using a serum has anti-aging benefits and will help your skin heal while you sleep.
- If you don’t see any signs of aging, protect your skin in advance by using a eye cream and at least one anti-aging product.
- Use sunscreen 365 days a year!
I have a couple questions about dry skin. Couldn’t it be overdrying to wash your face twice a day if you have dry skin? Do you have any recommendations for a good moisturizer for dry skin?
Thank you for stopping by. It can be over drying if you are using the wrong cleanser if you have dry skin you should use a milky cleanser. For moisturizer check out Dermalogica.
Thanks so much for the skin tips I will definitely try exfoliating 2x a week and a weekly mask. But I have relentless dark undereye circles, any tips?
Stay tuned, I will repost a popular article on this dilemma.
