What an exciting Sunday night it was at the annual Academy Awards. I must admit I rarely watch this show because it usually bores me to tears with all of not so funny humor and long speeches its not exactly my cup of tea. I tuned in this year especially because one of my fellow beauty blogger friends was on the Red Carpet, Afrobella, Chicago’s very own traveled to LA for a very special night out that just could not be missed. Here are my picks on best dressed, best hair and makeup.

Esperanza Spalding is simply afrotastic!

You go girl! Viola Davis leaves the wigs/weaves at home and rocks her natural hair. I was so proud and excited to see this.

Octavia Spencer looked great in this dress and she won Best Supporting Actress!
