This past Sunday I cheated and left church a little early to go and visit fellow Chicago bloggers The Monroe Sisters at the first Chicago Shop The Aisle Walmart event. This event has been making its way around the country in local Walmart stores everywhere. The purpose of the event is to help consumers in the natural hair journey find the right products. What makes the event super cool is some of my favorite blogger and vloggers are in the store available to chat and recommend their favorite products. Unfortunately Ms. Vaughn was out sick so Meechy hosted the event by herself with the help of her sister Kay. When I first arrived I had to take a number and get in line because the aisle was literally full of naturalistas wanting to talk with Meechy and get photos. I had a great time shopping at Walmart and enjoyed seeing some familiar faces from last week’s event. The gift bag was fully stocked with products from Curls Unleashed, Beautiful Textures and Tallijah Wajhid just to name a few. I look forward to seeing Shop The Aisle event expand to other markets and hopefully other stores too. I was just thinking wouldn’t it be cool to go to your local Target pick up a latte from Starbucks while in store and head on over to shop the beauty department???

While in store I decided to get some Christmas shopping done for my daughters.
I really didn’t need anything but I couldn’t pass up my favorite Nubian Heritage soap and leave in conditioner from Creme of Nature
