What?! Free products…I had started reading this book a while ago when I initially embarked on my natural hair journey. I got inspired and eventually did the big chop!!! Two years later, and I’m near starting ALL over.
It started about 6 months ago when I decided to “color my own hair”…three times. Smh. My hair was brittle and damaged and I had to get about 4 inches cut off. *tears* But I got over it and learned my lesson…the hard way.
Then, about two months ago I decided to get it straightened. Too bad I was being cheap and didn’t do my research!!! I reluctantly agreed to let the stylist who said, “Yeah, I do natural hair”, blow my hair out and flat iron it. I should’ve stopped when I saw that smoke from her 20,000 watt “non ionic” blow dryer (exaggeration). Needless to say, when I went to wash my hair a week later, chunks of my precious curls were gone!!! Not a strand or two hair and there. Sections were bone straight! I wanted to cry. All I could think about was how jacked my twist outs would look now.
Not knowing what to do, I got a sew-in. I’m really feeling like just getting a relaxer and be done with this “naturalista” business. I think receiving these products and purchasing this book will encourage me to NOT give up (for a second time) and go through with another big chop. Please pick me as I’ll be super grateful!!!!
I would love to win this product, I have been looking for something that will give me a really nice twist out as well as something to keep my hair moisturize, Going natural 2yrs ago has actually been the best thing for me and learning how to handle my hair has been a journey in it self.
