As I prepared to write a beauty post on Friday, I looked at my stats and realized I was writing my 100th blog post. I have to admit, I am surprised I made it this far. A great sense of pride and excitement about the future overwhelmed me. I want to thank all of you who subscribe and read the blog. I’d like to share a little of my journey with you. I didn’t start out with the hope of being a blogger. It may sound weird because well, I started a blog:) I just wanted a place to share my thoughts and experiences online. My interests are numerous and since my mind runs a mile a minute most days, I thought, “wouldn’t be it nice to keep record of whats going on my life and be able to interact with others?” So I started writing the blog in January of 2011, this was my first post. After the first week, I realized that people were actually reading the blog and commenting, so I kept at it I was having fun. God has blessed me to have some really tremendous things happen since I started my blog. I met and interviewed Sam Fine, attended The Makeup Show as press and finally got to have one of the infamous beauty blog bag gifts. Lastly, in the September issue of Ebony Magazine my blog was mentioned. God I am so thankful. I love being a Makeup Artist and Skin Therapist. This blog has given me another way to share my passion with the world.
Now on another note, I hope I don’t confuse all of you with the reguarlity of my Natural Hair Posts. I realize you come to the blog expecting to read about Makeup right? In the future I will be doing more posts on makeup, product reviews etc. Natural hair is apart of who I am therefore; its just natural for me to blog about it.
I have alot of people I would like to thank for helping to make this milestone possible. My husband is my biggest supporter. He does so much to help me, including correcting my bad grammar:) My sister Camile is my unofficial Editor. She takes time out of her busy day and proofreads my entries.
Sade Jones my fellow thrift store fashionista, contributes with her wonderful fashion styling adventures. Tamika Wright is the world’s best Graphic Designer! Roshunda Russell has worked miracles with her PR and Sponsorship work on behalf of MBRO. I’d like to thank many more people, but the list is endless! Can I ask you to do me one favor? Leave your comments of what you would like to see more of, thank you so much!
