On Tuesday, Fashion Fair Cosmetics announced celebrity makeup artist Sam Fine will become its Creative Director. I can not contain my excitement about this major move. I have admired Sam’s work for years and had dreamed of meeting him. Through connecting with him on facebook in 2010, I actually had the opportunity to interview Sam and he did my makeup for the WGN morning show. It was an experience I will never forget and is surely an addition to my bucket list.
I am most excited about Sam launching a signature cosmetic line “Sam Fine for Fashion Fair” in 2012. Clarissa Wilson President of Fashion Fair says, “Sam Fine is a true artist who understands women of color and has built an illustrious career unparalleled in the industry. His experience in the fashion editorial world with global beauty brands and celebrities will translate wonderfully with Fashion Fair, and our consumers will reap its benefits.” I consider Sam to be one of my makeup mentors and I want to shout out to him and to the rest of the world congratulations Sam! We are so proud and we can’t want to see the new artistry you will bring to Fashion Fair, I know Roxanna Floyd would be proud.
