Why did you decide to go natural?
I decided to go natural because every year the right side of my nape area would break off. I went to a Boric’s Hair Salon to get my ends clipped and after seeing the breakage the Hispanic woman who cut my hair said to me, “I don’t know why you girls bother with those chemicals.” I couldn’t get that statement out of my head and a few months later I started transitioning

Do you have any upcoming events where we can meet you?
May 13th we will be hosting “Kurls and Karaoke”, (which is a natural hair meet) at Oasis Barber Shop (2150 S Canalport, Chicago IL 60608) 7-10pm. There will be Karaoke, delicious refreshments and giveaways! You can RSVP here. This event is FREE!
May 14th will be hosting the Loving Your Hair with Natural Care Workshop w/ Celeb Natural Hair Stylist Felicia Leatherwood. Felicia will share with us her secrets to healthy hair and information regarding overall health and hair care. There will also be hair styling demonstrations, refreshments, great music, Swag bag ($55 value) and giveaways. We will also be testing the pH of the products that we use, so bring your products to be tested! Tickets are $45 in advance and $50 at the door. Children under 12 are free. What are your top 3 natural beauty tips?
Tip 1Less is more. It is not necessary to pile on a TON of makeup.
Tip 2 Pick one part of the face to be bold. If you are rocking a bold eye go with a neutral lip and vice versa.
Tip 3 Add a little powder to your lips before applying your lip color. This will give your lips staying power and keep them looking picture perfect all day
What is your favorite natural hair style?
My favorite hairstyle is a twisted pompadour updo. It takes me ALLLLLL day to do, but it lasts for a couple weeks and is super unique
