I love my readers, you guys send me awesome suggestions! So how many times have you watched an awards show or flipped through a magazine and noticed almost all celebrities have a beautiful highlighted glow that appears right in the center of the face? This area is also known as the t-zone. You can create the same look using just a few products and the right tools.
- First you need a concealer one to two shades lighter than your skin tone, some people also use a darker color for contour but this is optional.
- Begin by looking in the mirror, as shown here with one of my clients you will notice areas that naturally appear lighter and areas that appear darker.
- Use the concealer on the lighter areas.
After you have highlighted the lighter areas be sure to blend well with a sponge or foundation brush, do not skip this part if you do you may resemble a raccoon:) To give your skin a nice golden glow you can use a bronzer or lighter shade of powder on top of concealer. To really take it up a notch I recommend using a darker shade of powder around the areas you have just highlighted. This will also help to give your face a slimmer appearance. Once you have done all of this, add your choice of colors to rest of the face and you are ready to take gorgeous photos with a beautiful celebrity glow.
Hi Rachel! This is the first time that I wrote you but I have been a fan for almost a year. In fact, when I decided to go natural your blog was the first one I found. Thank you for keeping me from running back to my relaxer. I’m totally transitioned now. At the same time, I lost about 40 pounds. Now I want to improve my makeup skills. The first things that I did was clear my skin up. It’s eventoned and very smooth. I also bought a set of makeup brushes. I don’t know how to use all of them but I know that I will. Tomorrow, I’m buying foundation, concealer, bronzer, mascara, brow pencil and lipgloss ( and maybe blush). I’m going to practice the “Celebrity Glow” until I get it right! Thanks Rachel!!
Thank you for commenting. I appreciate the support and encouragement. I don’t get to hear from readers often so it means a lot to me. All the best to you,
