I hate to say it but one of my guilty pleasures is watching the show Basketball Wives. I swore off of Basketball Wives last season after the infamous fight between Tammi and Meeka. I can not for the life of me figure out why grown women physically attack each other over gossip. I know at the end of the day if the show receives more ratings it could possibly add up to a bigger paycheck for the cast mates but I think the ladies need to think more about their images and its effect on other african american women, especially the younger generation. Why are black women always portrayed as having stank attitudes and lots of drama? On the L.A cast of Basketball Wives I was happy to see Tonya, the one cast member who seemed to be about peace and love but obviously a decision has been made not to continue with her role because as of the last couple of weeks she has been MIA.
