Oily skin is something that most people think of as a bad thing because of its shiny look and texture. I explain to clients often, having oily skin is really not a bad thing. The oil actually acts a protective barrier of the skin and helps to slow down the process of aging. So yes! you read correctly if you have oily skin your skin actually shows the signs of aging a lot slower than most skin types. Check out these beauty tips to help with oily skin. Foaming or gel cleansers are specifically designed for oily skin, be sure you are using a cleanser that helps rid your skin of oil, bacteria and toxins. If you workout, be aware that sweating will kick your oil glands into overdrive. Use a light weight lotion to moisturize the skin and carry a small package of tissue to help blot skin of oil.

Exfoliating is critical for oily skin. Make sure to do this at least twice a week and try to use a product that contains salicylic acid. Gradually it will make shiny areas less oily.

Deep clean pores by using  a mask at least once a week. Kaolin clay is great for drawing out oil from the skin.
