On Friday, I was just sitting at home with two sick kids longing for an escape from my busy Mommapreneur life, when a surprise was delivered to my front door. I opened the package and was so excited; I almost started crying like Celie from The Color Purple. Seriously, I had to take deep breaths to calm myself down so I could start playing with the new Sam Fine Fashion Fair collection. I am a Sam Fine Super Fan!!! I am honored to share that I interviewed Sam back in 2009; it was an experience that I will never forget and will always cherish. When I first started in the makeup industry, Fine Beauty (Sam’s book) was like my holy bible. I studied all of the photos, colors, and models; even down to the position of his hand in some of the photos 🙂 Can you understand how much I “heart” him? Needless to say, I was beyond excited when Sam partnered with Fashion Fair cosmetics and became the Creative Director. To top it all off, in an unprecedented move, Sam Fine debuted his new makeup collection with Fashion Fair just a few weeks ago. Hands down this a must have makeup collection for women of color.
