One of my most frequently asked questions is,”What hair products do you recommend?” I am always hesistant to share, because I know there is a wide variety of curl textures and what may work well for me, may not give you the same results depending on your hair. Since I get this question so often on Facebook, I have decided to share my recommendations…..
The number one complaint most naturals have is lack of moisture. I love Tui Hair Oil from Carol’s Daughter. It smells great and helps to keep my hair shiny and healthy.
Combing my daughters’ hair is not an easy task. They whine and cry any time I try to comb through the tangles in their hair. I have fallen in love with the entire Avlon Natural Textures product line. I utilize it on a daily basis, and especially like to use the Buttercream moisturizer for my daughters’ hair and the hair milk as a lightweight moisture treatment for my own tresses.
For color treated hair, make sure your shampoo is moisturizing and contains ingredients that help ensure color does not fade. I choose Avlon Natural Texture’s Cleansing Cream. It is a sulfate free moisturizing curl wash that is full of natural oils. For a beautiful twist out, follow with the leave in conditioner.
Lastly, is it no secret that I have been a Miss Jessie’s fan since they were known as Curve Salon. I like Miss Jessie’s because I have found the products work well for almost any texture including very coarse hair. The Curly Pudding is my favorite because my curls have amazing definition and my twist out can last at least a week or two. I also love to use the Baby Buttercreme for my daughters’ hair.
