When I am consulting with clients I am often asked “What kind of makeup should I use?” I am a true makeup junkie so this question is never easy for me to answer because I have so many brands I love for so many different reasons. I really like to use makeup pallets because they are compact and portable, I carry them in my purse and in my makeup kit they really make my life and work easier. Check out my top five makeup palettes…..
1) Senna Brow Pallet-Perfect assortment of colors to shape your brows to perfection, I am not a big fan of brow stencils but I think for a beginner they can be helpful this pallet comes with stencils and a brush.
2) Kevyn Aucoin Eye Shadow Palle#6-These colors are highly pigmented and every time I wear these colors on my eyes someone almost always compliments and wants to know where did I get it.
3) I love MUD makeup! This foundation palette is my favorite, I love it because it is so versatile. The colors are really easy to work with, you can achieve a sheer natural or a flawless full-coverage finish. Great for day look or to use for highlighting and contouring.
4) Smashbox– I would like to kiss the genius that came up with this idea. Learning how to correctly highlight and contour is no easy task. Smashbox makes it easy with this pallet because it comes with instructions, and a diagraham and I even use the colors for eyeshadow sometimes, makes a great nude look.
5) This isn’t really a true makeup palette but sometimes you mix and match and create your own. Milani Cosmetics sent me these gorgeous new shades and what can I say I am in love! I’m not sure if these are in stores yet but so far my favorite is Violet Addict, shown in the middle. Keep your eye out for Milani at a drugstore new year.
