How long have you been natural?
1.    I have been a naturalguru for almost 2 years now.

What inspired you to go natural?
2.    I chose the path of a naturalista, because after being a broke college student, I was not able to maintain the health of my hair. Going from momma’s pocket book to your own is a big deal. So from perm to perm, from color to color, I noticed that my hair growth process slowed down dramatically. After researching natural hair I decided it was time for a CHANGE and a new ME! And also hanging out and working in a very diverse part of Chicago, known as Hyde Park, I began to accept the beauty of natural hair.
September 2009 is when I officially decided to stop using relaxers, and try this whole “natural thing.” After contemplating whether or not I should do the big chop or just transition I decided the best thing for me to do was to transition. After having long hair all my life, I just thought that the BC was too drastic for me. I chose to transition with sew-ins and bantu knots for 6 to 8 months.

Did you receive any negative comments or feedback from family and friends?
3.    When I first started telling friends and family I was going natural, I heard a few negative comments. I was not surprised when I heard negativity or got a negative outlook from others, because the whole image of natural hair is a negative thing for certain individuals. But I decided to fight against the norm of what other individuals think beauty is and go for it.

Do you have any advice for new naturals?
4.    The advice for new naturals I tell them all the same thing, GO NATURAL FOR YOURSELF. A lot of individuals are going natural because it’s the new trend and they are not doing it for the beauty behind it. I like to say that once I accepted myself for who God made me to be I really began to actually LIVE!

What is your favorite natural hair style?
5.    My favorite natural hairstyle is a chunky twist out.

Please share 3  natural beauty makeup tips with us
6.  Keep it natural looking, don’t over cake on the make up.
The Cat Eye goes with any look.
Don’t be afraid to wear bold lip colors, its not always about the color its about who is ROCKING IT!!
