How Long have you been natural?
I’ve been natural going on 17yrs this summer (i don’t remember the exact month). That’s a really long time. WOW, should I have a party?
Why did you decide to go natural?
I saw this gorgeous picture in a hair magazine of a woman with a really short curly hair cut and I was inspired to go for it. What’s crazy is my hair was relaxed and about shoulder length at the time. To grow it out I put braids in for three weeks, then I would cut an inch off every two weeks. That idea only lasted 6-8 weeks. I went for the big chop!
What do you do for a living?
Honestly, I touch lives! Whether it’s doing hair, makeup or speaking words of encouragement my hearts desire is to be a support to whomever it is I come in contact with. I’m also blessed to be at stay at home mom & wife.
Tell us about your blog
The Gorgeous Ingredient is an evolving sphere of my love for beauty. Right now I find myself talking more and more about hair products . I guess it’s because my hair is often the topic when people compliment my avatar on social network sites. I’m always trying to think of ways to translate my product training background into the blog without it getting technical. All in all I’m loving it and there is definitely more to come.
What is your skin care routine
I like my routine to be simplistic but effective. Cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize & protect are the 4 most important benefits to me in a skincare routine. Peter Thomas Roth’s Anti-Aging line is proving to be quite fulfilling!! The buffing beads are just divine. LOL
What’s you’r favorite natural style
Oh, the more Ms.Ross you give the better. lol I love big wavy/curly hair
How long have you been in the beauty industry and what positions have you held?
WOW! June make 20yrs that I have been in the industry. During this time I have been a Master Hair Stylist, Salon Educator, Cosmetics Counter Manager, Freelance Makeup & Hair, and Product Trainer.
