Thanksgiving is a joyous and happy holiday for most. Many will spend time around the table with family and friends eating their favorite foods. This is something I look forward to, but honestly my holidays just haven’t been the same since my parents and a couple of siblings moved out of state two years ago. I even have one sister who lives in another country. I miss my mother’s peach cobbler, greens and my favorite dish, cheesy potatoes. Most of all I just miss being able to see my parents and spend time with all five of my siblings like we did when were growing up in the same home. Since they don’t live close by anymore, my holidays are always a little sad. I think about others who maybe dealing with a recent loss or illness like Latoya. Many others are homeless or have no family to spend the holiday with.

These situations often bring on extreme feeling of sadness and even depression.  Did you know that depression is most prevalent during the holiday season? When you are done reading this post would you do me one favor? Please say a prayer for others who maybe experiencing a sad holiday. I will be taking a blog break until after the holidays. Happy Thanksgiving to all of my readers, family and friends. Thought it would be fun to leave you with some pics of my family. Enjoy!
