The Makeup Show Chicago is this weekend June 12 – June 13, 2011. I’m super excited because this will be my second time attending, and my first time attending The Blogger’s Preview. There will be numerous celebrity Makeup Artists in attendance including Sam Fine, Reggie Wells and Danessa Myricks. If you are a Makeup Artist, Aesthetician or Hair Stylist, this is the place you want to be this weekend. The classes will help take your craft to a new level. I have already started receiving questions about how to prepare for the show, and thought I would take a moment to share with you.

- Bring your camera. There will be many people you will want to take pictures with.
- Money! Don’t leave home without it. There will be lots of things you will want to add to your kit, including brands you would normally have to pay shipping and handling for. You can save a little money by purchasing products at the show.
- If you are a fellow YouTuber, don’t forget your video camera. Just be sure to ask the presenter if its ok to record before you use your camera.
- Business cards. There will be lots of networking to do, and you never want to be unprepared to exchange information.
- If you plan to stock up, bring a big bag or small suitcase to carry items home in.
- If you are building your makeup kit, its a great idea to make a list of items needed to complete your kit.
- Don’t forget to purchase educational tools like books, CD’s and DVD’s. As a matter of fact I recommend investing most of your budget on these items.
