Yes, I have been an employee. My professional background is rooted in Technology Project Management and Operations.

How do you recommend people transition from employee to full time entrepreneur?
1. Get a mentor/coach who walks the talk

2. Invest in your personal development before you leave your day job.

3. Decrease your Income to Debt Ratio. Simply put, pay off you bills before taking the plunge on the full time side of entrepreneurship

4. Build a team who will support your growing enterprise. No, you can’t be the marketing, accounting and customer service. It is easy to build a team when you know what you need and what you want.

5. Take some business classes so you will know how a business is run.

6. Decide you are going to be a life learner and invest quarterly in  your personal development.

7. Build your Network of Contacts and Resources. Who knows you?

8. Create an Operations Manual from day one.

1. Know what you want with crystal clarity and be concise. – I say paint me a picture so I can step inside of that picture.

2. Success is built on Commitment, Consistency  and Clarity of Focus over Time – You have to stay at it and give it time. You have to put you time in to get the results. Know what you want and want success looks like for you.

3. You must have a mentor/coach to support you in growing your business. I have upleveled my business by 500% in the first 6 month of 2011 just because I hired a power house coach who helped me reposition my brand and develop a new system to support hypergrowth.
