Last week we discussed skincare tips for winter. Today let’s chat about makeup. In the summer one of the most common complaints is oily skin. In the winter the most common complaint is the total opposite, you guessed it dry parched skin. For this reason winter makeup is all about products that protect and moisturize. I love a product that does double duty. Check out some of my makeup recommendations, you must have these for the winter season.
1) Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizing Balm – This rich tinted moisturizer comes in a wide variety of colors that will help even out the skin tone and act as a foundation and moisturize the skin.
2) Creamy blush – You remember back in the day when grandma used to say hand me my pot of rouge or growing up using lipstick as a blush? A creamy blush is great because the texture is easy to work with and gives your skin a nice healthy glow.
3) Lip Balm – No winter makeup kit would be complete without a lip balm. Dry cracked lips need moisture and exfoliation to help improve the texture. The Climate Control lip balm from Dermalogica is great because it even has a SPF of 15.
4) Creamy Shadow-I love creamy eyeshadow because you can use it as a primer for powder shadows or wear alone. Cream shadows also tend to be very long wearing, they will stay put all day! This HD Gel liner from Ruby Kisses is yet another awesome double duty product, use it as an eye liner or eye shadow.
