This weekend I will be shopping for the perfect dress to wear to the 4th Annual Beauty Bash. Last year was my first time attending this inspirational event and I’m super excited to represent Mizani as the Natural Beauty Ambassador at this year’s festivities. The Beauty Bash is an annual fundraising event for beauty industry professionals and consumers to help bring awareness to mental health issues. Darker Horse Creative, a Chicago event production firm founded by Co-Managing Partners Fred L. Miller Jr. and Triphena Johnson are the visionaries behind the Beauty Bash. Together they possess 40 years of combined experience within the ethnic hair and personal care products market. Triphena and Fred believe strongly in giving back to the community. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Jordan’s Dream Transitional & Permanent Housing. Mizani will showcase textures and trends on the runway and there will also be swag bags, drinks and lots of dancing. My kid’s summer vacation is in full effect and I am in desperate need of a break from it all:)
