I love a good ol’ brow beatdown! When your brows are professionally groomed, it makes everything else look so much better. Seriously, having the right eyebrow arch can make you look 10 years younger AND make your makeup look fierce. A few weeks ago, Milani Cosmetics sent me a nice package of new products. My mouth dropped open in excitement and awe when I saw what the new products were. Why, you ask? Because I am a brow enthusiast; I went to beauty college and learned from the best on brow shaping and waxing. So, you know I was ecstatic to get the package because you don’t see brow products of this quality in a drugstore very often. Usually, these types of brow specialty products are only sold at high-end department stores. Well, of course I ripped open the package and got to work with sculpting my brows. The product is really easy to use. Here’s a step by step list of what I did.
1). Comb brows up to observe the natural shape/arch of brows. Begin filling in the sparse areas with the brow color. I used #3 Vanilla & Natural Taupe this one works best for my skin tone and brow color. Be sure to use light strokes; if you apply too much color, you’ll get that Crayola brow look and we don’t want that! Once brows are filled in, be sure to use a spoolie to comb the color through to blend the product and soften the look.
2). Flip the pencil over and highlight the brow arch. The #1 Matte Beige/High Glow highlighter has a light gold shimmer that I really like. After you have highlighted, be sure to use your finger or a brush to blend in the color.
3). Finish off brows with the brow gel to help hold hairs in place all day. It is really that simple! I love that you can also use the brow highlighter over the entire eye as a primer for eyeshadow.
The next time you visit your local drugstore, I highly recommend you pick up the NEW Brow & Eye Highlighters by Milani. Your brows will thank me for it.
