So there I was browsing around on one of my many Sephora trips and it dawned on me that I needed a 3oz or less size of perfume to carry around with me during my weekly work travel trips because anything more than 3oz will make the TSA will throw it away (save it for themselves) without you having a say because you (meaning me) hates to check your bag!!!

(Pause…insert short rant here) I really don’t understand why I need to carry 3oz or less of my liquid toiletries??? I mean, I work in the beauty industry for goodness sake and it is so hard to carry any skincare items less than 5oz in a quart sized Ziploc bag!!! Not to mention that the bag gets all gross and you have to constantly change it and when you travel as much as I do…that is the last thing that you want to do. There should to be a national law for women to have 5oz with a clear bag big enough to hold 7 – 9 items. Okay, I am stepping down from the soapbox and getting back on track to the real subject at hand (thanks for indulging) 🙂

Back at Sephora…I smelled different perfumes but I was not very excited about any of the scents 🙁 Starting to feel a little defeated, I decided to give up. Just as I was about to leave, bells rang in my head and a light bulb went off!!! An atomizer is what I needed (ding, ding, ding)!!! Now the question is, does Sephora sell it??? I asked a cast member (beauty advisor) and she replied, “yes.” Happy, happy, joy, joy, please lead the way!!!

There were several colors to choose from and of course I chose my favorite color, pink!!! When I got home, I couldn’t wait to open my new toy to try it out. So here is what I liked about it: Once you figure out how to open it, it is fairly easy to spray your perfume inside. It is a great size to travel with, add to a clutch for date night or a makeup bag. According to sephora.com, you can get approximately 55 sprays in a 0.16oz container. I have not had a chance to count the total number of sprays, as I would never remember the last number LOL.

Sounds easy right??? Well, not so much. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to open it as one side unscrews and the other you pull the cap (sometimes I need easy basic instructions to just say that…but please don’t judge me) LOL. It cost $15 for 0.16oz and I would like it to be a tad bigger for that price. I am not sure if there is a way to wash it if you want to change the scent. I am sure you can rinse it out but the residue of the last perfume will still linger and that makes me wonder if this will ruin the new scent. It is a little messy when you spray your perfume into the container and you may waste some of it. I would suggest you spray it when you are ready to use your normal bottle that way you can add any drops on your skin. You could also use a cheaper perfume as well…IJS. Be sure the cap is screwed on tightly to prevent leaking in your bag.

My final grade for the atomizer is 3.5 out of 5 smooches…MUAH. I love the idea of it but the price + the cons = not a repeat buy!!! Now if I could find one for $7 – $9, I would be willing to invest in more than one. If you are interested in purchasing an atomizer, head over to Sephora or sephora.com. Happy Shopping!!! MUAH
