The conversation, camaraderie and chic nibbles were flowing at Fashion Fair’s “True Finish” foundation launch event. Held at premiere Chicago socialite and CEO of Johnson Publishing, Desiree Rogers’ home, no expense was spared showcasing Fashion Fair’s newest product. I was invited to this exclusive event, but unfortunately due to travel plans I was unable to attend. It was a party I did not want to miss out on, so in my place Traci Daniels PR and my best girlfriend/photographer extraordinaire Datrice Weathers attended. Prior to leaving for my trip, I was sent a copy of the latest Fashion Fair Ad. I took one look at it and thought this is simply beautiful. The new campaign featuring African model Amanda Nassali Kiggundu—a Los Angeles-based Starbucks barista, speaks for itself. Fashion Fair is headed in a new direction. Traci and Datrice shared highlights from the event with me and just by looking at the sleek new packaging for “True Finish” foundation, I am intrigued and can’t wait to learn more.
Three of the campaign’s models were introduced visually, and after a few words from Diane Primo of the Primo Center, the event was opened for attendees to be matched with their perfect Fashion Fair “True Finish” foundation. Celebrity Makeup Artist to the stars (best known for making Jennifer Hudson look her best) Tia Dantzler was on hand to primp faces along with other Makeup Artists set up throughout the home.
Traci was matched with “Confident Copper” foundation shade. She says it was very smooth and sheer with just the right amount of coverage. I am looking forward to finding my perfect shade.
Guest were able to hob knob with the elite Chicago social set including Johnson Chairman Linda Johnson-Rice, Cheryle Jackson, Juanita Jordan, Terri Day, Amy Hilliard, cast members from “Chicagolicious” Laura Mitchell and Niki Robinson and more. I really wish I could have been at this event to join the fun and to meet so many inspirational women.
