About a month ago I was an attendee at The Makeup Show Chicago Blogger Preview event. This is where beauty bloggers around the city get invited to view the featured brands, get updates on what to expect at the and receive a bag full of swag from the amazing James Vincent. James is a top celebrity makeup artist who also produces The Makeup Show. He picks out his favorite products, shares why he thinks they are so awesome and why we should try them. He then sends us home with a bag filled with beauty swag and we play and find our faves to hopefully share with our communities.
Now that I have played and found a few of my faves, I am going to review one of them today by Make Up For Ever. The product is an 8 Eye Shadow Palette that’s a limited edition named Arty Blossom. It features eight eye shadows, including six new exclusive shades.
But before I get to The Glam it, The Slam it and The Final Grade, let me give you a brief beauty introduction on Make up For Ever. Dany Sanz created this brand. She was a former student of fine arts who became a makeup artist. Later in life she became an instructor in a beauty school by day and created the products at night. Make Up For Ever became popular with makeup artist and expanded through the years.
The Glam: Even though there are only eight colors, the eye makeup possibilities are endless. You can mix and match or layer the colors to get different looks. You can line, contour or highlight…whatever your heart desires. Create a dramatic, natural or trendy look, this palette lets you do it all. The shadow does not crease and it last all day without that oily eyelid look. The palette comes with two exclusive mini eye shadow brushes with new cutting edge synthetic fibers. The brushes are soft and they are easy to use; they help the shadow blend beautifully.
The Slam: Umm, let me see, I can’t seem to think of any.
My final grade for the Arty Blossom by Make Up For Ever is 5 out of 5 smooches…MUAH! I love the multiple looks that you can get out of this one palette. It offers a range of colors that will give you trend setting, smoky or natural looks. I have worn this palette for the past several weeks and I just love it! If you are interested in purchasing this eye palette, head over to makeupforever.com and get it for $42 but hurry because it is a limited edition so it won’t be around for long. Happy Blending!
