Ever been to your local drug store looking for your favorite makeup shades and been unable to find colors for your skin tone? Super model Iman is speaking about her cosmetic line being strategically placed at the back of mass retailer chains like Target, Walgreen’s and Walmart. Iman also says major retailers were confused because the brand recently decided to add liquid foundations to the product line. That is just crazy to me! As if black women don’t wear foundation! I have to say this is the first time I have heard of “cosmetic segregation.” Whenever I go to a store and look for shades for women of color, I actually appreciate makeup being placed in the ethnic section.
