A couple of months ago I attended an event and received a swag bag filled with beauty goodies!!! There was a liquid liner, nail polish and lipstick and today I am reviewing the Color Statement Lipstick by Milani in Flirty Fuchsia.
While I have seen and heard of Milani, I must admit that I have not tried this brand until recently. Milani Cosmetics is one of the few brands left that is family owned!!! They appeal to a every woman around world and offer a wide range of hues for different skin tones. The brand was designed to be a cosmetics line to stay abreast of the latest trends from the runway for women who love to wear color (and boy do they offer some fun shades with great pigment!!!). And the best thing is…they are affordable!!! What more could you ask for???
Now that you have an overview of who the brand is, let me tell you about my love of lipstick. In case you don’t know, I am always in search of a new lip color but it is usually a red because that is my signature color (as seen on my logo) however, every now and then, I will try a new shade (which is usually pink because that is my favorite color, then a nude or a gloss with a hint of tint) LOL (no…there is method to my madness, I am just obsessed)!!! Giggles.
Anywho let’s talk about the product and what I liked. When I opened the tube I was definitely wowed because the color lived up to its name!!! It is truly Flirty Fuchsia in every sense of the way and then some!!! IJS… the pigment is amazing!!! It offers a great shine but not too shinny with good coverage. It is long lasting and has vitamins A, C, E to moisturize and nourish the lips. And as the name states…it is a Color Statement Lipstick!!! People will notice as well as compliment your lip shade as they did mine…teehee!!!
As you can see, there are a lot of great things about this lipstick but, is it too good to be true??? Yes, it is and I have a dislike that it is a deal breaker for me!!! 🙁 Drum roll please… it has a fruity smell…sigh and that is the one thing I despise the most in a lipstick… idislikeit.com!!! It smells like the old school rollerball Lip Smackers Lip Gloss and that’s a shame because it will affect the final grade (oh my, did I just date myself??? It’s okay because I look like I’m in my 20’s) LOL.
