I’m still feeling a buzz from Makeup Heaven, also known as The Makeup Show đ So much to see, so little time pretty much describes my experience, but rest assured I took it all in. Fellow blogger Ladwina and I left for Monday’s event in the early afternoon. The goal was to arrive at the event an hour before Celebrity Makeup Artist Billy B’s presentation. When we reached the show, we started browsing around, and totally lost track of time. Here are some of the thing we saw along the way:
We finally arrived downstairs to Billy B’s appointed room, all seats were full and we had to stand for most of the presentation. I really wanted to get video for my YouTube subscribers, so I paced the room periodically during his speech and I finally got a chair. Thank you God! Rather than tell you all about his tips for career success, check out the video here. You can also check out my Twitter page for live tweets from Monday. Billy B. is the fourth Celebrity Makeup Artist I get to check off on my MUA bucket list. I am excited to add our photo (which I barely got)  to my Pinterest board.
Now I just need to meet Francois NARS. *Fingers crossed* Speaking of NARS, Ladwina and I did lots of shopping and we stopped at one of my favorite brands, NARS Cosmetics. I freelance for NARS in the Chicago market often. It was great to see such a high end artistry brand at The Makeup Show, the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The NARS booth was super cute and all of the products were 30% off! Whoopee!!! Check out what I picked up:
After we left NARS, we went over to meet AJ Crimson. Don’t you just love it when the owner of the company is actually present and willing to speak with you about the products? I interviewed AJ, but unfortunately the music in the building was kinda loud so I don’t think I will be able to use any of the footage, but I want to tell you to please go and check out the products. The lip glosses and foundations are awesome! I hope to do a contest with the brand really soon. Subscribe to the blog to stay updated.
We came, we saw, we conquered! Thank you to James Vincent and everyone at The Makeup Show for allowing me to be apart of the Blogger Preview event and to cover TMS as press. I enjoy the show every year and look forward to seeing all of you in 2013!
